I am back with a fun Halloween tag! I did not do the first version of this tag, but I really like the prompts of this one so I am rolling with it! This tag was created by Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward and I am also using the image from there (please let me know if I should take it down, I just really like it and it looks like so much fun!)
Here are the rules:
- Answer all prompts.
- Answer honestly.
- Tag 1-13 people.
- Link back to this post.
- Remember to credit the creator. (Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward)
- Have fun!
Witch – A Magical Character or Book.
Werewolf – The Perfect Book to Read at Night.
Any Harry Potter book! I do not like reading scary books at night, but I spent many night reading Harry Potter under the blanket with a flashlight – nope, I am not simply using that cliche, I actually did this! My mum can confirm!
A Book that Truly Shocked You.
Nabokov’s Lolita. I know it’s not magical or horror per-se, but this book was so uncomfortable to read.
A Dark, Evil Character.
Count Olaf, for sure – or at least now when I am hurrying to find an answer.
A Character that Should Never Have Died.
This is why I do not do a lot of tags involving books or characters, I feel like I have not read anything when I have to give an answer! I am trying to think of answer, okay?
Lots of minutes later (that felt like hours).
A Book that Made You “Hungry” for More.
There are many books that are stand-alone that leave me WANTING MORE at the end of them, yet right now I cannot tell you any of them! So I will just go with the Chaos Walking series by Patrick Ness because I devoured those books!
A Character that You Would Protect at All Cost.
I vividly remember moments of reading books and having a character that I just want to hug and protect but I CANNOT REMEMBER DETAILS OR THE NAME OF THE BOOK! This tag is so hard and it makes me so nervous because I am so bad at this!
Okay, I will go with The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed because I absolute love those girls!
A Book that Sucked the Life Out of You.
Any thriller book that gets me instantly? Like The Girl on the Train!
A Book that Still Haunts You.
The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer – yup, it still does.
A Book that Really Scared You.
Can I use the same book as above? The truth is I do not really get scared from reading books, at least I read horror late at night, but it still doesn’t have the same effect as horror films. During the first part of Room by Emma Donoghue I simply couldn’t breathe!
A Character You Have a Bone to Pick With.
Quentin from The Magicians by Lev Grossman – we just can’t stand each other, okay?
A Book You Would Preserve Throughout Time.
Mmmm… all the books? But most importantly Matilda by Roald Dahl!
A Cover too Scary to Look At.
The Monster Mash
It’s Fun to Be with Friends on Halloween!
Tag Your Friends!
I think everyone was already tagged, so I apologize if I am tagging you again: Avalinah’s Books, The Cursed Books, Olivia’s Catastrophe, Book Haven, Chrissi Reads, Read All the Things!, Reading Under the Blankie, and Do You Dog-ear?
But anyone is free to do the tag – it’s a lot of fun if you do not worry as much as I do!
